Proverbs 18:1 Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom.
Proverbs 21:2 Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but HaShem pondereth the hearts.
Luke 6:32 32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
Romans 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.
Having just read a book titled The Jewish Position on Other Religions, I am satisfied with the conclusion I’ve come to concerning the author’s own word and insight condemning himself and, on the whole, exonerating those or the One whom he aims to condemn; namely Jesus and Jews who believe in him, of all walks of life and various backgrounds, ethnicity, color, race, and creed, etc.
It was not wisdom which led to the supposition of this author, nor a yearning to learn and to write about subjects diverse and foreign to him, but knowledge puffed up above that which is meet in any coreligionist, or that which is wise in any seeker, striving after Truth. As all they who go astray after false gods may, the author issues valid reasons for the presumption at first but then quickly degenerates into a manic hater whose words are heretical and blasphemous; singularly accusative of a servant chosen whose own testimony exonerates all who believe in him, his labor of love and the One who sent him (Who needs no man or witness to speak for Him) and especially those who followed him. And Who has elected and chosen few always and, for the greater part, unlikely heroes and underdogs the world has despised and bet against to their mutual loss and confusion of face (Jeremiah 7:19; Daniel 9:7; 1 Corinthians 1:26-29) that the deciding factor might be of Grace.
“For we labor diligently to write, to persuade our children, and also our brethren, to believe in Christ, and to be reconciled to God; for we know that it is by grace that we are saved, after all we can do.” -2 Nephi 25:23.
Much of the book I skimmed over, not wishing to bring sin upon myself by gaining any knowledge of things forbidden to Jews by Torah, which the author fails to mention yet cannot escape.
Avodah Zarah ve-Chukos ha-Goyim!
Matthew 5:18-20 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever, therefore, shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Self-abnegation leads to condemnation and the self-abandoned is the worst kind of abandonment a man may undergo, suffer from and endure, and the same ought to be encouraged to stand fast in the Faith of Him who never forsakes any who do not forsake Him.
The author’s idol (among many) is Thomas Edison, whose namesake is that of the famed Doubter of the Gospel accounts quatro en numeres, Uno en espiritu, muchos en la adherencia.
It is interesting to note that he does not touch upon the disciples or apostles at all; or any real advocates of ‘Christianity’, nor does he desire to know its real roots, instigators, conspirators, founders, congregants, etc. He does not understand and belittles Faith as an unnecessary component in knowing and serving God, or as an attribute most Holy of the people he professes in vain to be united with – the Jews.
Sina Cohen is not a Jew; at least not according to the measure he metes out and should receive in turn (Matthew 7:2). Nor is he a Muslim nor any other idolatrous adherent of a religion practiced. He is a worldly student of opinions earthy and worldly; a man-pleaser and self confident in knowledge so-called (1 Timothy 6:20). Carnal, sensual and devilish he may be, and thereby inspired to vindicate the heathen and eager to play a part in establishing them as the inheritors of a blessing for which they may not even dream of receiving without Faith in the God of Abraham, our Spiritual Father who has Spiritually begotten Us and his works which testified of his Faith in HaShem alone.
However, he does realize one true maxim for which he manipulates a verse from the Quran (the only verse I have ever read, and the only verse he quotes though he cites many as proofs to check – beware of doing so!) to prove, but which is true with or without this book written perhaps for the greater part in vain and probably for the same intent and reason as the entire religion may exist. Nevertheless:
“To each is a goal to which God turns him; then strive together towards all that is good. Wheresoever you are, God will bring you together, for God has power over all things.” -The Quran, 2:148
In the end, it is not what he fails to mention about either, other, or any religion and religion in general that makes his entire book, as short as it was (I am very grateful that it was a short read!) of bitterness motivated and of none effect or lasting impression upon the reader.
Vindictive, manipulative, flattering and empty are his opinions lukewarm and indifferent to their effect, except where he strikes at Jesus and blames him for Christianity and any atrocities which may have stemmed from the same. Tending toward disaster is his advice on the whole. May God forgive him if he realize his folly and repent of it, hopefully with open apology seeking reconciliation with the entire House of Israel he has so offended in treating the same as unwise students he could easily pull the wool over the eyes of, those he flatters, Jews could never be victimized as the people of God’s pasture, or the ‘sheep’ thereof he claims we are not but which we know ourselves and which Holy Writ proclaims Us to be; whose Shepherd took excruciating pains to wisely care for (Psalm 77:20; Hosea 11:4; Micah 6:4), admonishing Us unto Life in the Way for One as for all, which delivers from the enemy, adversary and destroyer every member by wise guidance immutable and unchanging, and ultimately laying down the life of His Beloved Son for to prove his Authority as proceeding forth from the Same, that we might renew our strength, Faith and devotion/dedication to the God of both the living and the dead, in Whom is all power to protect the former and raise the latter to Life Eternal because of His servant’s fulfillment of Torah and Renewal of Covenant Everlasting. His act of Faith (as Abraham’s) itself renewing the Covenant for all who would be Jews the world over and those who may and shall come to recognize, join and be part of the same in Kingdom Glory. May Zotiel (‘little one of God’) greet them warmly with a heart ablaze with God’s Love! (Enoch 32:2).
For it is HaShem Who brings even opposed forces together in Him to work the eventual salvation of all in His own due time (another matter the author avoids touching upon, seems to avoid or lacks understanding whatsoever of?) and Way.
He owes whatever his success may be to a light bulb, a case of insomnia and what I imagine is perseverance in darkness he could not afford to pay the electricity bill for until he struck a deal with a publisher for this book, for seasons and a time he would probably prefer to forget, which is also probably why he fails to touch upon the meridian of time and the L-RD’s own due authority over all time and that or those which are caught out of time, oblivious of whatsoever they desire to be oblivious of; mostly a status quo curse of the Nation and Creation Whose God nevertheless is the same yesterday, today and forevermore a Light unto all nations that needs no electricity, solar panels or even flame of fire to shine forth in darkness (2 Peter 1:19) to reveal Him or that which He wills His own to reveal (Deuteronomy 29:29).
Alma 40:10 And when the time comes when all shall rise, then shall they know that God knows all the times which are appointed unto man.
D&C 130:4-8 In answer to the question—Is not the reckoning of God’s time, angel’s time, prophet’s time, and man’s time, according to the planet on which they reside? I answer, Yes. But there are no angels who minister to this earth but those who do belong or have belonged to it. The angels do not reside on a planet like this earth; But they reside in the presence of God, on a globe like a sea of glass and fire, where all things for their glory are manifest, past, present, and future, and are continually before the L-RD. The place where God resides is a great Urim and Thummim.
Trespassing is a very common occurrence for which repentance worthy of all acceptation is a rare gem in the diadem of kings worthy of the King of them, whether they issue forth from the loins of Isaac or of Ishmael, the Same Law of Love, Light and Locution binds them together as brethren (Proverbs 25:2-6).
To depart is to cancel membership rites, rights and reasons for keeping holy the same light, nights and seasons of a faithful witness in the skies (Psalm 89:37).
Notwithstanding all this, I admire a small collection of sages he quotes here and there entirely out of context as pretext for his own work unworthy of them; a labor of lawlessness. There is no little irony in the fact that the person he presumably hates, scorns, and aims to dishonor, perfected forever the very Torah he tries to use as a weapon to bludgeon him with.
Matthew 12:31-32 Therefore I say to you, any sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not be forgiven. Whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit, it shall not be forgiven him, either in this age or in the age to come.
There is hope for you, Mr. Cohen, and it is my sincere wish you will find the Way again and return to the House of Israel with all due humility and respect for One as for all.
There is no sin in creativity but lashon hara and speaking falsely of the Way has its consequences. Creative living is the means whereby we find the Grace to make the same space available to the stranger and enemy made friend or brother in our land, God given, sustained and provided for (Psalm 50).
But unlike This Land, Islam was not made for you and me…
It is not ours to take the name of other gods upon our lips, nor inquire after the ways of the nations surrounding us, nor to learn the rites of worship or anything that has to do with idolatry, and that includes Christianity erring and wayward or of the same fashion.
Shiites and Wayward thought happens, there are so many temptations to sin, I cannot number them all (Mosiah 4:29), but those which kill the Faith are most harmful to believers of all walks of life. We are HaShem’s captives through Christ represented unto One God and Father for our mutual good and deliverance unto Liberty’s Victory Divine and prosperity inexhaustible in riches by Christ (Philippians 4:19). If the stranger should wish to join himself unto the Congregation of the L-RD, he may, but We have no such freedom of choice and may not opt to disregard the Living God unto whom We must live and worship with all our might, mind and strength! Deuteronomy 6:5.
Romans 8:18-21 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God. For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope, Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
The matter to be weighed then, is whether Jesus is, was or shall be the Jewish Messiah, or do we wait for another? Matthew 11:3; Luke 7:19.
Romans 11:11-21 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy. Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness (inclusion)? For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office: If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them. For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead? For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches. And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert grafted in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee. Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in. Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.
