Prayer works and is essential because G-d hears and responds.
Those who are faithful will outdo and overcome those who are not in times of trouble, betrayal, unbelief, etc.
Those who are concerned for your soul, when all the world is set upon folly and running after personal gain, fearing for their own survival, etc., will prove of more value and more kindred than will blood that bleeds in vain, or a brother who will betray. However, it’s important to remember, especially when judging family; that not all those who betray have a choice.
Envy is the root of all evil, Torah observance is its antithesis and undoing. Observance is better than sacrifice, obedience better than bloodshed. And so, in the instance of bloodshed or war, in particular, obedience is of more than holy importance to those who will require cleansing for the blood they shed and deliverance from the guilt they feel.
Family members often prove their merit when it seems too late but everything happens for a reason, only time will tell who stands the test of time, which proves insignificant when the clock runs out, and the mouse returns to its hole in the wall.
And so, it is all important to be mindful of that which is limitless and eternal.
“You inhabit eternity; your name is exalted and holy.”
HaShem will save everyone; all who believe.
His Way is the Israel beyond the borders of Israel, and His Majesty is displayed in the limitless heavens above; on the earth beneath, there is no other, my brother.
And it is this Way that makes any space or place on earth Holy or Israel; G-d’s Gate to Zion, the Pure in Heart.
It’s like magick but infinitely more powerful as Pharaoh’s magicians would find out by sore experience and loss of their own art and Life Stream, or as when Miriam’s well ceased, or the Manna in the wilderness stopped; when Israel for its faithfulness was restored or given its Hometown in the land of Canaan.
The Faith of all nation’s and people’s makes keeping the Way even more wonderful and miraculous, something for all to marvel at, like Destiny finding You when you were not looking for anything at all, but just stumbled upon an oasis or experienced an awakening or an epiphany of inspiration, or miracle of saving grace.
“Don’t talk to strangers, nor rearrangers, don’t ask me why…” But the reason is, it throws everyone off track and that is G-d’s sole right and prerogative to do, as when working with chaos and bringing perfect order or when confusing the nations and their languages at the Tower of Bavel to keep them from folly that they could not easily atone for and have never on their own been able to.
G-d’s highest aim is that all mankind be saved, but he cannot do anything contrary to His Divine Will or Nature; nor can anything unholy or unclean enter the Kingdom of G-d; which is probably why so many give up on the faith and seek to survive otherwise and if they achieve even an iota of success, they reach far beyond and seek glory like that of Bavel’s infamy.
Nothing is coincidental or by chance except our choice that makes it so, but then it is better-termed trial and error, or luck and good fortune.
We don’t know what we miss out on when we don’t keep in mind and heart His commandments which are not grievous or burdensome but truly uplifting and emancipating.
We cancel out a lot of miracle, wonder and much blessing that accompanies obedience that we might otherwise enjoy and as a result prosper beyond our wildest imaginings and the difference is because of or due to dews.
It is sad, but most of the world goes blindly into that good night which can make of Paradise otherwise a nightmare.
If G-d just left us there, or in such hateful circumstances, it would be unbearable and a tragedy beyond hope; but He is wonderful when things are bleakest; and we, at our most hopeless, finally give up on our petty self-reliance and cry out to our Father in Heaven for deliverance from death and captivity, He proves merciful and gracious and delivers us at once and in the most effectual and miraculous of ways we would never have thought of on our own; not willing that any should perish, but that all might come to Unity in the Faith and be saved.
And fear rightly overtakes the one who assumed to be saved of his own merit and obedience to the teachings and precepts of men, which prove to be the undoing of their religion and the folly of their confidence.
I will praise Him for His unsearchable ways forever!
Nevertheless, my heart and mind are often perplexed and I have often cried out in the agony of my soul, “What a wretched man I am! G-d have mercy!” My heart also has sadness because men do not choose Him and in their folly bring much trouble upon themselves and others.
Faith in practice with vows fulfilled will correct this however and all will be happier by degrees and according to the diligence and works with willingness to put off the old man and live the new as saved and part of a wonderful work and a marvel of His unseen hand and his most convincing Spirit at work in His Creation and our lives fully given to Him; “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”
It’s when we, of our own free will, choose to make Him seen, that we become Light and Life in Him and thereby experience a reward otherworldly; a treasure not to be equaled by all the tea in China or riches in Ethiopia.
No man, when he hath lighted a candle, putteth it in a secret place, neither under a bushel, but on a candlestick, that they which come in may see the light. The light of the body is the eye: therefore ,when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. If thy whole body, therefore, be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining of a candle doth give thee light.
The unseen felt and known to be Superior in the most hopeless and degrading of life’s experience is matchless in its’ Glory. When G-d ‘happens’ Creation is lifted higher and higher than ever before; then otherwise may dream and most often revealed to dreamers. The Way should be easy and pure but otherwise or an opposition makes different but always worth it when overcome.
Until we all come to Unity in the faith, may He bless you with good thoughts and worthy actions of your true and heavenly nature, and may you come to realize the importance of a rest earned in Him, even as an eternal Sabbath or end of days; which is indescribably different from a feeling of running out of time, but a realization that you’ve experienced a paradigm shift that makes all time One and anxiety and worry before felt so important and wearisome to your soul’s experience you are at once and forever emancipated from and all that burdens and restricts from the result which is true happiness; when ye shall know the truth and it shall set thee free.
Then do we realize the folly of hatred and racism non-expedient in Him, and how in the end, nothing else matters than true charity which is love which drives out all fear and animosity!
And Amos is heard.
Are ye not as children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the L-RD. Have not I brought up Israel out of the land of Egypt? and the Philistines from Caphtor, and the Syrians from Kir?
He loves You.
Wherefore, He would have us love one another out of a pure heart, fervently.
HaShem is merciful and His servants must be like Him. I would think it were the Holy Spirit directing/prompting Y’shua HaMashiach to show mercy and heal and forgive whom the L-RD would forgive to fulfill the Scriptures that say this is what G-d intends to do. It is, I believe, Our Creator’s Highest Attribute, being compassionate and merciful and He would that all should be holy as He is Holy, but He must remind Himself that no flesh may please G-d and that we, His chosen have an adversary to combat and do battle with here in His Creation which serves Him but when in rebellion, is turned back to a state like unto void or chaos.
Then He may save a few or even one or three righteous individuals, or if Abraham could find even ten, He would spare all people on their account of merit; but how difficult we make that at times, and G-d knows we need saving and mercy more than we need judgment, especially man judging man which is treasonous and wrong in my view, but sometimes necessary and even appropriate when we want to protect what matters most. That’s why we have so many laws and lawyers and judges in the U.S.A.; it helps preserve some freedom in a world that is sure to jeopardize our G-d gifted liberty because the yetzer hara (evil inclination) is so strong in some. who being ignorant perhaps of its subtlety and self defeating/destructive ways, can trap them using their own thoughts and affections.
The heart is deceptive and beyond cure and oppression threatens even the oppressor of peoples.
G-d, perhaps throwing up His hands and saying Oy Vey Gevalt! What shall I do for My people who have become all wicked with none good, decides He will have to save them by His own exertion and Almighty Omnipotence…Saying somewhere in the Scriptures, “I shall love them freely”
I think this is wonderful because eventually we discover that sin is not what we want and is really not worth it, and is our worst enemy and there is so much more reward in being righteous and finding happiness in innocence and nobility of character. But especially then we shall have enemies who want to destroy our peace, so G-d sends a sword to ensure that some will enjoy that peace and liberty divine. And since he permitted the fall and knows our situation is now an unfair one, he must encourage us to grow and overcome in more ways than one.
The fall brought into play a more worthwhile conclusion and I don’t think G-d would have created any opposition at all if He intended us to remain in a perfect, blissful state forever, and therein is a reward worth striving to achieve after breaking covenant unspoken but understood to exist; to create a semblance of the garden of innocence within the context of a fallen creation and rejoice in a fashion that makes our experience with G-d mutually satisfying and progressive in a way that fosters a healthy and holy relationship with G-d and others in His world. While we kept being more trouble than we were worth, He kept granting us seasons and days to rejoice in, He wants us to be happy and to share that happiness in Him with one another.
The Priesthood Holy is an extension of G-d’s Authority, and everyone has his or her station, office, duty, etc. and we must be One as HaShem is One in order for it to work to our good and redemption; making worthy something that otherwise would be hopelessly lost forever.
He entreats us through His servants to love one another and even enemies or especially so. And we need, as doubters so often do prove that it will be worth it, after all the times in the past when we humbled ourselves and gave up because it did not seem to profit us and things seemed to get worse. But they always do before they get better; so many often give up right before G-d would have accepted them.
Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works. (Ecclesiastes 9:7).
Through the ministry of Y’shua, He made the Faith show its merit and power by immediately healing and forgiving any who truly repented, which also proves that G-d knows all the thoughts and intents of the heart, etc. and is alone worthy to Judge.
And to my joy, when G-d works this way, He often finds Himself pleasantly surprised with people He hadn’t chosen but who were convinced and came to Him with more Faith in Him than any Israelite! Fulfilling the Scripture,
“But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not; I was made manifest unto them that asked not after me. But to Israel he saith, All day long I have stretched forth my hands unto a disobedient and gainsaying people. I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid.” (Romans 10:20-11:1).
Most important is proving His own Superiority and right to be worshiped by His Creation and obeyed for our own good and for the sake of the Kingdom.
People judge mostly for power, gain and control over others, not necessarily because they want others to be corrected or better people or to stop them from sinning and as we see the U.S. penal system does not much to correct sin and it makes it a big business rather than an avenue of healing or intervention worthwhile.
It would be hard to find an example from the Tanakh that states explicitly and implicitly an example of G-d granting anyone the authority to forgive sins beyond the Mercy Seat created for the same exact purpose, and the Thirteen Attributes of G-d which should show us that these are things we ourselves should cultivate within and show toward one another and again as Simon Peter would say, see that you love one another, fervently from a pure heart. In Scripture some would probably not agree is authoritative, G-d states that all men are required to forgive anyone who offends against them and whether they repent and seek your forgiveness or to atone or not to continue forgiving them. G-d promises to act eventually if a persecutor or oppressor remains rebellious and an enemy to you threatening your welfare and or life which he granted you to glorify Him with. We can be sure G-d will take vengeance for wrongs done to His people, but where, when, why and how is not up to us to decide, but as I say when the Holy Spirit moves in a disciple or believer, he should act in accordance with its prompting, and forgive or help someone in need of help. His vengeance will have the best effect for all parties concerned and our integrity and steadfastness will be our greatest reward, one our enemies will never know the joy of possessing. Not all are called to the High priesthood, not all have gifts and talents, such as healing and the authority to baptize or to heal or forgive sins.
The Catholic Church, for example, makes quite a mockery of the office by granting absurd individuals the authority to absolve penitent believers who admit their sins in a closet secretly to a priest; and it’s all very mechanical and meaningless. Say so many Our Father’s and Hail Mary’s and you’re all set.
It’s obviously meant as a means of informant work and troll baiting before we had any Internet, but it worked much the same; a perverse community of informants using every available means of communication to drive the sons of G-d insane and frustrate G-d’s plan for the true and Living Church.
That is mockery, Y’shua on the other hand, went into crowds with witnesses and singled out sinners who the Father directed him to work with and forgave their sins in the Authority of Him who sent him to work this work and spread the true Gospel all over the world for the salvation of souls, both dead and living.
The most important part of all his dealings with men and women was that they “go and sin no more.” All authority having been granted him of the Father because the Temple had become corrupt in its workings and lifted up in the pride of the world, no longer looking to G-d for its direction or authority but claiming it on behalf of fallen men who did no more than go through the motions of priesthood activity and thus empty the Temple and religion therein practiced of all meaning and worth spiritual.
They were working for the shekel not the Schechinah. I’m just shooting from the hip, but more or less this is what I think of the work of salvation and the most important part was that Y’shua wanted no credit for the work done, the mitzvot he performed was his reward and he would have no other because he knew where he came from and where he was going.
And despite his criticism of the Temple elite and Priesthood at that time, it was his singular mission and zealous endeavor to restore Its legitimacy and sacredness, always telling those who experienced a healing by faith to go and show themselves to the priest and offer the appropriate sacrifice according to Moses.
He was truly free to do and work as G-d would have him as a result; and this, the world could not tolerate and eventually crucified him for. But hopefully soon and in our days, we will renew the Priesthood, the Mercy Seat which is for Mercy and not judgment; though some judgment is involved of a necessity. It is called a mercy seat in the hall of justice because that is what justice is to G-d, showing mercy and compassion to the many who love Him and protecting them from those who hate Him by setting up His Kingdom that markedly, and yes outwardly lets us tell the difference between the one and the other. The devil loves to blur the line of justice and favors punishment over forgiveness. But the Divine is always seeking the good of creation and to make His people more like Him even if we may never fully accomplish this while in the flesh, the opportunity to experience a miracle and a wonder is more important than vengeance upon an enemy but sometimes that is exactly how he works a miracle and wonder in delivering us from our enemies and destroying our oppressors for their sin of arrogance, which is especially difficult when we all become oppressive by nature and hard of heart and unforgiving toward one another yet expecting G-d to forgive us on behalf of a sacrifice offering that may only be adding sin to our guilt.
Yehudim in Moshiach 6:4-8
For it is impossible for those who once received the Ohr Hashem, having tasted of the matanah of Shomayim and having become chavrusa partners of the Ruach Hakodesh, And having tasted the goodness of the Dvar Hashem and the nifla’ot of the Olam Habah, and then, having fallen away, and become shmad‖it is impossible to renew them again to teshuva, because they have pierced to themselves the Ben HaElohim on HaEtz HaKelalat Hashem and have again held him up to contempt and open bushah (shame). For the Adamah (Mud), which drinks the geshem (rain) that often falls upon it, and brings forth ESEV (plants, BERESHIS 1:11) suitable for those for whom it is cultivated, receives a bracha from Hashem; But if Adamah (Mud) is producing KOTZ V’DARDAR (thorns and thistles, BERESHIS 3:18), it is worthless and near to being arurah (cursed, BERESHIS 3:17), whose Ketz (End) is for burning in Eish [T.N. the allusion is to Eish Gehinnom].
Personally, I don’t think Lot was a righteous person, but he thought of G-d and figured with his godly nefesh more often than with his carnal mind which must have pleased G-d and he delivered him out of a territory otherwise doomed to destruction.
Why Lot, why not? He was teachable and feared the L-RD in a masterful way.
So that would be a sort of example of G-d choosing an individual to work in a merciful way even through a doubtful son…It was an important lesson and Lot was definitely guilty as anyone involved. So, through the emissaries sent to Lot, he showed Lot forgiveness and delivered him out of all his troubles, granting him another undeserved chance to live a life Godly. They obviously were given power and authority to forgive and absolve, rescue and redeem.
Bereshis 19:16 And while he lingered hesitating, the anashim laid hold upon his yad, and upon the yad of his isha, and upon the yad of his two banot; Hashem being merciful unto him; and they brought him out and set him outside the Ir.
Yoel 2:13 And rend your lev, and not your garments, and turn unto Hashem Eloheichem; for He is channun (gracious) and rachum (merciful), slow to anger, and of rav chesed, and He relents from sending calamity.
Maybe if Lot had acted sooner and with greater faith he could have saved all, but I think he was too caught up in his lifestyle, and probably resented having to leave that part of himself behind. The story of his daughters getting him drunk is hard to believe and I don’t believe it.
But I do believe G-d is loving and compassionate and more understanding than we give Him credit for being.
Christianity promotes a messy paradigm and dogma. I do not encourage proselytizing or conversion of anyone to Judaism or Christianity.
I was baptized LDS (for which I am eternally grateful) and then found Judaism through my own search of Torah and the Scriptures both the Bible and Book of Mormon. I am about one of the humblest people you could meet and know but I have been through a lot and am unshakable in my Faith. If G-d was not with me, I could not have endured thus far, nor accomplished all that I have for Him with Him. I found the Way by practice, not by accident or through anyone’s teaching but the Scripture and Holy Spirit’s influence.
Fear of the L-RD is a good thing to teach and to know; It delivers from death and the devil’s many snares and the wiles of men who will use the religion we must practice to injure and harm us and others and rob people of their right and freedom. Divine Liberty is not an easy thing to maintain and this world knows very little about it. I have been upheld and protected in some of the worst places and circumstances while others were perishing around me for lack of understanding and Faith in the One True G-d. It is a frightening world and unfair for the most part and people don’t realize why until it is too late. I was once like that myself, but clinging to the Rock and following through with what He commands is escape from death and the snares of the enemy. The Internet is the ultimate dragnet and device for snaring souls and catching those who stray from Torah and its precepts, statutes and guidelines.
Even devils know there is a G-d and He is One.
I fear the enemy too and don’t want anyone to suffer for ignorance’ sake; and so too, “one may not be saved in ignorance.” (Doctrine and Covenants 131:6).
Too many generations have fallen through the cracks of humanity so-called already, and I am sure the authorities and powers and principalities in this world know plenty about that and more than I of how it works. I wish them success in helping others and protecting Jews in particular in this nation where things get unusually ugly for those outside and even in the Faith.
I know with a Temple and a religion and priesthood restored, life will be better, and an hundredfold more enjoyable for all, though less vain; but then vanity takes more souls than all lesser and greater sins.
A life of faith is superior to all else, and I would not rob the least or greatest individual in His Creation of the ecstasy of experiencing the same.
And so, to Whom belongest thou? Only you have the free right and choice to decide to be part of and build up His Kingdom on Earth as it may be in Heaven and only you stand to lose all by not doing so. Who you got? Whose got you?
It is the ONLY decision in life that truly matters. All else is bubble wrap.
And now I, Moroni, proceed to finish my record concerning the destruction of the people of whom I have been writing. For behold, they rejected all the words of Ether; for he truly told them of all things, from the beginning of man; and that after the waters had receded from off the face of this land it became a choice land above all other lands, a chosen land of the L-rd; wherefore the L-rd would have that all men should serve him who dwell upon the face thereof; And that it was the place of the New Jerusalem, which should come down out of heaven, and the holy sanctuary of the L-rd. Behold, Ether saw the days of Christ, and he spake concerning a New Jerusalem upon this land. And he spake also concerning the house of Israel, and the Jerusalem from whence Lehi should come—after it should be destroyed it should be built up again, a holy city unto the L-rd; wherefore, it could not be a new Jerusalem for it had been in a time of old; but it should be built up again, and become a holy city of the L-rd; and it should be built unto the house of Israel— And that a New Jerusalem should be built up upon this land, unto the remnant of the seed of Joseph, for which things there has been a type. For as Joseph brought his father down into the land of Egypt, even so he died there; wherefore, the L-rd brought a remnant of the seed of Joseph out of the land of Jerusalem, that he might be merciful unto the seed of Joseph that they should perish not, even as he was merciful unto the father of Joseph that he should perish not. Wherefore, the remnant of the house of Joseph shall be built upon this land; and it shall be a land of their inheritance; and they shall build up a holy city unto the L-rd, like unto the Jerusalem of old; and they shall no more be confounded, until the end come when the earth shall pass away. And there shall be a new heaven and a new earth; and they shall be like unto the old save the old have passed away, and all things have become new. And then cometh the New Jerusalem; and blessed are they who dwell therein, for it is they whose garments are white through the blood of the Lamb; and they are they who are numbered among the remnant of the seed of Joseph, who were of the house of Israel. And then also cometh the Jerusalem of old; and the inhabitants thereof, blessed are they, for they have been washed in the blood of the Lamb; and they are they who were scattered and gathered in from the four quarters of the earth, and from the north countries, and are partakers of the fulfilling of the covenant which G-d made with their father, Abraham. And in reply Kefa and the Moshiach’s Shlichim said, “It is necessary to obey Hashem rather than Bnei Adam. [SHEMOT 1:17] “Elohei Avoteinu made Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach Yehoshua to stand up alive again, the very one whom you killed, having made him talui al haEtz (being hanged on the tree). [DEVARIM 21:23] “This one Hashem exalted as Sar and Moshi’a (Oisleizer) to His right hand to grant teshuva to Yisroel and selicha (forgiveness) of chatta’im (averos, sins). “And we are the eidus (witness) of these matters and so is the Ruach Hakodesh whom Hashem gave to the ones obeying Him.” And the ones having heard were cut to the quick and in fury were deciding to do away with them. But a certain Parush got up in the Sanhedrin, a moreh of Torah by name Rabban Gamli’el, respected by kol Am Yisroel, and he gave orders to put the men outside for a little while. And Rabban Gamli’el said to them, “Anshei Yisroel, pay attention to yourselves what you are about to do with these anashim. “For at an earlier tekufa (era, period), there was the uprising of Theudas, who claimed to be somebody himself, with whom were associated a number of anashim lav davka (approximately) four hundred; who was done away with and as many as were obeying him were all dispersed and it came to nothing. “After this there was Yehudah HaGelili in the yamim of the census; who misled the people to follow after him and that man perished and, as many as were obeying him, were all scattered. “And now I say to you, stay away from these anashim, and leave them alone, because if this cheshbon (plan) or this matter is of Bnei Adam, it will be overthrown. “But if it is from Hashem, you are not able to overthrow them—in that case you may even be found to be fighting keneged (against, opposing) Hashem.” And they were persuaded by Rabban Gamli’el. [2Ch 13:12; Prov 21:30; Isa 46:10] And having called together the Moshiach’s Shluchim and having flogged them, they warned them not to speak in the shem of Yehoshua, and they released them. Therefore Moshiach’s Shluchim were going rejoicing from the presence of the Sanhedrin, that they were considered worthy to suffer shame for ha-Shem (the Name). And every day in the Beis Hamikdash and from bais to bais they did not stop saying shiurim and drashot about Yehoshua as Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach.
