Revelatory Scribblings.

Jhn 4:22-24 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

“…even what a distinguished student is destined to teach before his master was already revealed to Moses on Sinai” (Pe’ah 17a).

“…from the day the Temple was destroyed, prophecy was taken away from the prophets, and was given to fools and children” (BT BB 12b).

“….proactive but disarmingly simple…As revolutionary as this idea seems in retrospect, much of Rabbinic literature describes the process in rather prosaic terms. For example, in the first mishnah of Avot, the Rabbis describe a long chain of revealed tradition that they inherited but that they certainly did not create. ‘Moses received the Torah at Sinai and handed it on to Joshua, Joshua to the elders, and the elders to the prophets. And the prophets handed it on the men of the Great Assembly [who in turn passed it on to the Sages]” (1.1) ‘Torah’ here (not ‘the’ Torah) refers to both the written and the oral Torah. The Sages claim that their own teaching was received at Sinai, an integral part of the authoritative tradition.

“You can claim divine authority for your beliefs, however, only if you affirm that a specific record of revelation accurately articulates God’s will. Indeed, you would have to believe not only that the founders of that religion experienced a genuine revelation of God but also that their followers possessed an accurate record of that revelation and that they interpreted and applied it correctly. Furthermore, those who argue that their faith alone is the true and accurate statement of God’s will, as proponents of three Western religions do, must also appeal to the willingness of people to discount the theological authenticity of other religious claims to revelation.

“Through the Arabic translations of Greek sources, Muslims, and then Jews and Christians, learned about Plato and Aristotle. Because Plato and Aristotle had used reason rather than revelation to advance their claims, leaders of these three religions began to augment their claims to authentic revelation with rational justifications for their beliefs.

Saadia asserts, God Himself ‘has commanded us to engage in such inquiry in addition to accepting the reliable tradition.’”

Deu 4:29 But if from thence thou shalt seek the L-RD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

Act 17:16-31 Now while Paul waited for them at Athens, his spirit was stirred in him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry.
Therefore disputed he in the synagogue with the Jews, and with the devout persons, and in the market daily with them that met with him.
Then certain philosophers of the Epicureans, and of the Stoics, encountered him. And some said, What will this babbler say? other some, He seemeth to be a setter forth of strange gods: because he preached unto them Jesus, and the resurrection.
And they took him, and brought him unto Areopagus, saying, May we know what this new doctrine, whereof thou speakest, is?
For thou bringest certain strange things to our ears: we would know therefore what these things mean.
(For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)
Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars’ hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.
For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription: TO THE UNKNOWN GOD.
Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, Him declare I unto you.
God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is L-RD of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
Neither is worshipped with men’s hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;
And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;
That they should seek the L-RD, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man’s device.
And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

“Even those who can reason sometimes make mistakes, and revelation is necessary to serve as a check against errors. “
~Etz Hayim Commentary

Mat 6:11 Give us this day our daily bread.

Deu 8:3 And he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of the L-RD doth man live.

Act 17:11-12 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Therefore many of them believed; also of honourable women which were Greeks, and of men, not a few.

“God will reward us not for following what we would do anyway on the basis of our reasoning powers but for obeying Him. God therefore, had to include even Judaism’s rational laws within the revealed Torah so that we can merit God’s blessings for following His revealed will.

“For kabbalists, the Torah-the blueprint from which God created the universe-is the only legitimate source of knowledge of God and His will; reason is an inferior way of knowing religious matters and, at that, misleading! Consequently, revelation alone is to be trusted…Jacob had to leave the safe haven of the Torah to encounter Haran, which the Zohar takes to be the symbol of enticement, ‘the woman of whoredom, the adulteress,’ to test whether his knowledge of the Torah was strong enough to protect him from temptations.”
~Etz Hayim Commentary

“If someone could pry open your heart — figuratively, of course — what would he see? Some [Jews] would say they’d find the scrawls of a deceitful heart without hope of cure. God sees the opposite: His good laws inscribed on your heart.
The confusion likely arises because many believers read [Penteuch, Navi, or Ketuvim] passages without filtering them through the new revelation of the Renewed Testament. And the new revelation is startling: “I will put my laws in their hearts.” That’s what God did when we placed our trust in him. He transformed our core nature, replacing bad with good.
This new reality calls for a different approach to [life]. We do not fight against ourselves to resist [sin]. Our deepest self is in alignment with God and in opposition to [sin]. No, we battle an exterior tempter and our old bad habits.
This should not come as surprise… The most famous bad-heart verse comes from Jeremiah (17:9). And so does this good-heart verse (31:53) quoted later in Hebrews.”

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

In the New World, Revelation was claimed by so many, in so many erring forms, the same became hated by its adherents and blamed by its victims. Men often went to such extreme measures to ensure that their claims were fulfilled that it was obvious to everyone but these tyrants themselves that this was the product of rebellion rather than obedience or zeal for God, although it may have seemed like passionate zeal and love to God for them. Hence, anarchy and chaos became popular among youths, who may have otherwise striven for better if only otherwise were available, but who instinctively and intimately knew their fathers who were lying and forcing their religion, vision and will upon people. Blood is thicker than water.

Rom 10:2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.

The Enlightenment so-called, was but further revelation built upon the Torah, revealed if not by Messiah then by disciples, priests and sages, not straying from It nor deviating there from; not claiming It to be old or something “passing away..” The correct revelation or assertion is that of renewal through Light revealed to people in darkness, who indeed themselves may have been and are passing away yet claim the right through Torah study and obedience upon new souls guidance.
Erring Christians claimed the same without regard for “old laws” or “testimony.”
Same Light – different minds. Have Faith, “all things work together for the good of those that love God.”
Unable to understand what Jews were about, Christians so-called persecuted those who were endeavoring to guide all in Wisdom’s paths, that they too might experience the joy of knowing HaShem; claiming instead that wisdom was no longer of any use to them who enjoyed a new and better way, but being fundamentally evil, rejoiced only in marring God’s work.
The New being not but the so-called ‘Old’ fulfilled and thereby renewed and more pertinent than ever, having been fully demonstrated and lived before all mankind, in the person of Messiah whom they crucified that they might persist everlastingly in rebellion if they might by any means do so.
Failing to grasp the mystery of Paul’s gospel, they fell prey to those who understood it but were austere men, without mercy or pity.
While Paul was getting chummy, Peter was getting bummy.
“We establish the Law.”
Honour the heirs and children of God as though lords themselves or gods to whom Torah was given or revealed most plainly that they all might come to perfection in Christ-Torah, and revelation understood as a living mechanism in the works of God Himself.

Mat 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Eph 3:14-19 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,
That He would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by His Spirit in the inner man;
That HaShem may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,
May be able to comprehend with all saints [and sages] what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;
And to know the love of God, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of the L-RD.

D&C 93:12-14 And I, John, saw that he received not of the fulness at the first, but received grace for grace;
And he received not of the fulness at first, but continued from grace to grace, until he received a fulness;
And thus he was called the Son of God, because he received not of the fulness at the first.

Col 2:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of HaShem.

Now, they who had become shadows themselves, in order to make know their presence in the world; an presence that they had failed to realize in God, were afraid of both their own shadows or reflection in the glass and that of the Holy Ghost within their children, who stood as judges of their failure, condemning them as lawless, dumb beasts, yet at the same instance forgiving them for Christ’s sake.

Psa 73:20-28 As a dream when one awaketh; so, O L-RD, when thou awakest, thou shalt despise their image.
Thus my heart was grieved, and I was pricked in my reins.
So foolish was I, and ignorant: I was as a beast before thee.
Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand.
Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.
Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.
My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
For, lo, they that are far from thee shall perish: thou hast destroyed all them that go a whoring from thee.
But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the L-RD GOD, that I may declare all thy works.

Isa 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.

Psa 37:37 Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

Psa 119:165-168 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
L-RD, I have hoped for thy salvation, and done thy commandments.
My soul hath kept thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly.
I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies: for all my ways are before thee.

Enter Precarious Liberty

Gal 5:1; 21-22 Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
The ‘Old Testament’ is in nowise old at all, it is eternal. The Penteuch, Navi and Ketuvim establish the Law.

Isa 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, [it is] because [there is] no light in them.

Hbr 11:39-40 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:
God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect.

Exd 19:5-8 Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the L-RD commanded him.
And all the people answered together, and said, All that the L-RD hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the L-RD.

Tts 2:14-15 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

1Pe 2:9-10 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

Eph 4:13-16 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

The Doctrine of Dementia produces alienation, the devices of which we are not ignorant or free but must overcome to achieve Achdus, otherwise we remain reprobate.

2Cr 13:5-9 Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?
But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.
Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.
For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.
For we are glad, when we are weak, and ye are strong: and this also we wish, even your perfection.

A Pearl of Great Price is a means of obtaining wealth and prosperity when one has none else to work with. Pilfered works has long been a staple food for those who lack faith and patience to live upon God’s pure word in paths that drop fatness.
Men first stray into paths not the L-RD’s and then when met with leanness will not keep back from snatching at another’s goods, food, wealth, good name, or revelatory scribblings.

As I’ve said in the past, the entirety of the Book of Mormon is broken scriptures, and perchance became so because it was not built upon authentic tradition or rabbinical Judaism while asserting itself to be somehow superior to the same.

At any rate, what are jewels worth unless snatched away and got back? Unless desired by a whore and won for a lady? And so was buried ‘neath a veil of confusion and hid from them what would not see its worth nor beauty or their own in its reflective shimmering.

Pro 11:22 As a jewel of gold in a swine’s snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.

Pro 25:11-12 A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.
As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient ear.

The Faith for some or many is how to make something out of nothing. God Himself brought order out of chaos, has an investment in His people and expects a return on that investment.

When men, rutted in the ways of the world and snared in their own heart’s delusion experience any success or forward momentum, it can be easy to forget that there is a higher purpose to our lives and progress may seem all that matters, whether or not the success is legit or not could not prove more meaningless to one creating meaning in a void – the more adherents one may gain to whatever notion is driving their success the less and less the illegitimacy becomes a problem until it transmutates into something seemingly legitimate through worldly acceptance and monetary worth or basis. It becomes ‘good fortune’ whether souls be lost or won thereby, knowledge and reward give an undue sense of puffed up self importance and complete forgetfulness of why God loves you and what makes you special to Him and what true greatness is.

Success may rob supplication of its efficacy as fame may rob faith of its fortune.

Num 14:19 Pardon, I beseech thee, the iniquity of this people according unto the greatness of thy mercy, and as thou hast forgiven this people, from Egypt even until now.

Eph 1:18-19 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

Matthew 6

1Cor. 9:15-25

What one may see in the works of Joseph Smith are the writings of the mind, will, soul and person of one endeavoring to understand Gospel and Torah sense or wisdom, but ultimately relying on his own gift and reason more so than upon faith.
He had been inside the veil, seen too much and gotten out with his life and from there on it was luck be a-fraidy tonight…
“having the form of godliness but denying the power there of” was never so aptly recycled as it is in the JS translation. Joseph’s namesake alone being sufficient blessing, the treachery of all men within and without the Faith to combat, his gamble paid off until pride pricked his heart and marred his gift. Nevertheless, in faith, knowing both friend and foe, he prospered exceedingly.

Gen 49:22 Joseph is a fruitful bough, even a fruitful bough by a well; whose branches run over the wall:

‘We The People’ have often times unwittingly robbed ourselves and our children of wonder, grace, innocence and all things that are a gift against which there is no Law/law; that protects without weapons of war this world and our nation in particular.
Ungrateful generations produce wicked ones whose end Is grievous which need rebuke, warning and inspiration in order to save.
Enter The Joseph Smith generation.
In the account of ‘Joseph Smith-History’ we are told the account of a young man’s brief history personal. Whether or not that young man really was Joseph Smith, or whether he came across another’s writings and made them his own, is a matter or some personal interest to me; but in the long run hardly matters. As Detective Joe Friday surmised, it is ‘just the facts’ that count, even if the one translating those facts is a supplanter, liar, thief or ‘money digger’. One may sense in the work a kind of knavish futility intended.
Nevertheless, continuing to judge by facts, we find that America, from generation to generation has been famous, wealthy, blessed for its Faith.
It is impossible to prove otherwise. Unfortunately, it is not impossible to prove that there is great wickedness within Her, but nearly so for men to root it out. But what is impossible for man is possible with God.

Isa 28:21 For the L-RD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, he shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that he may do his work, his strange work; and bring to pass his act, his strange act.

Jer 50:20 In those days, and in that time, saith the L-RD, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I reserve.

I think the saddest part of our current struggle is that it seems a generation has forfeited its right to play ‘parental units’ but then it is mostly our own selfish fault.
Not wishing to live even as Paul’s gospel permits, we’ve made ourselves unwilling slaves to the Law, if not of the land which is corrupt and profits few, than of Torah which constrains and profits only those who love God and Torah for Its sake.

Isaiah 30:1-15

Romans 13:1-10

1Timothy 1:9-11

Facts mean nothing to a people robbed and spoiled; a people whose facts of life are all or mostly harsh and of hellish hue.

The inability to face facts is not so bad as that coping mechanism which doeth the greater damage in the long run.

Those unwilling to face facts and deal with the reality of their transgression, lawfully, will readily applaud whatever facts condemn a soul striving lawfully to enter the Kingdom of Heaven, hence shining and unwanted light in the darkness around him, which they call their world. They will not allow God to create a single moment of their lives, never mind a day in which to rejoice and be glad.

Exd 23:21 Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him.

Suppressing evidence is step one in advancing humanism; every failure snared and taken in becomes a stepping stone or launching pad for an abominably unlawful society where pride is a bloody bastard’s will full of dead men’s bones. It is fear-based Vs. Faith-based.
Fear has no patience or love for God’s creation, no respect for His revealed will, no impulse to obey His Divine Law and complete disregard for right, honour, and due order or process of anything not mandated and ratified by men of one will ill. It seeks only to escape the burden of every moment of its existence and to excuse every sin of its character. But it does seek center stage, as the abomination that causes desolation and it has or wills to become the will of ‘We The People’, and if We let it, it will…
Dan 11:21 And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.

A Faith like that of the Joseph Smith congregation did much to frustrate the same, stumbling only upon the very Rock it professed to build upon, as did every faith so-called it sought to debunk and overcome by patient endurance. Having grand success when faithful, suffering much loss when straining to survive the cost of interdependency.

A servant of HaShem does not care to be known for being faithful to HaShem nor whether anyone follow his lead-if he be appointed or anointed-but only that everyone come to follow and worship HaShem in spirit and in truth.
If it help that they see their teacher or king, as David would dance and make a public spectacle of himself for the sake of glorifying God and sharing in the joy of worship, so be it, but having done so would often later lead the same to shun the limelight and exposure and long for solitude-time to be alone with God.
On the other hand, the devil loves darkness, his element and to appear as though he were shunning the limelight only in an effort to win greater glory and more of the same.

Moroni 7:14 Wherefore, take heed, my beloved brethren, that ye do not judge that which is evil to be of God, or that which is good and of God to be of the devil.

There have been so many crimes committed against God and His people in the supposed authority of the church or religious right so-called which may never be rightly atoned for since all who commit them deny both Christ and God.

Revelation legitimate has been shunned and false religions built up by all who are miserably dependent upon the American Dream to survive, only becoming more guilty and lost for their participation. They misunderstand the Dream, and manipulate rather than inspire its adherents/believers toward fulfillment.
Although God alone knoweth the hearts and is the justifier of them that believe, all may be so compromised and divided or at least confused in heart, it is hard to do that which is necessary without being torn to pieces internally by the price and cost of doing so. The opposite ought to be so, though our outward form waste away, inwardly we should be renewed day to day.
Believers, who don’t understand the Law because they see, understand or learned it as done away in Christ, pay the heavier toll thereof for their ignorance in the long run. The price of living without the Law is unbearable and more costly than keeping the whole law which is remarkably easy if one is dedicated to God and free from sin.

“The Messiah our righteousness has turned from us. We are alarmed, we have no one to justify us. Our sins and the yoke of our transgressions he bore. He was bruised for our iniquities. He carried on his shoulders our sins. With his stripes we are healed. Almighty God hasten the day that he might come to us anew; that we may hear from Mt Lebanon a second time through the Messiah. (“Oz M’lifnai B’reshit”).

More to come…
