It may be that the only kingdom material that might ever exist on earth as it isn’t in heaven is a kingdom divided.
Like that of Abraham and Lot or even Jacob and Esau.
Mastery being in the ability to maintain one’s own affairs and be an asset to one’s friends while no threat one’s enemies. Mastery only attained to at liberty in a land of freedom and opportunity.
The Gift of Liberty is of G-d, and in that no man may boast. What we make of It, is what we may give back to Him, and in that there is a certain degree of boasting or of temptation to boast or take pride in, although no man worthy would.
Rom 3:27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
The phrase “like a boss” comes to mind, and you may mark certain men by the way in which they carry themselves and manner in which they live. There is no reason to behold one man as superior to any other, though gifted with talents that may be so…The real gift of G-d is in the ordinary man or woman, and to be found in simple obedience and small signs and wonders harder to mark than the more obvious show of a “boss” and instead reveal the Master.
The Rule Golden remains the same whatever one’s stature, in that no man may attain to any level of mastery without the mystery of Torah awareness and observance being found or revealed through his intention, knowledge, gains and losses, etc.
2Ti 2:5, 7 And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
Consider what I say; and the L-rd give thee understanding in all things.
Mat 10:25 It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?
Luk 6:40 The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.
1Ti 6:1-7 Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of G-d and his doctrine be not blasphemed.
And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.
If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, [even] the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
But godliness with contentment is great gain.
Alma 28:13-14 And thus we see how great the inequality of man is because of sin and transgression, and the power of the devil, which comes by the cunning plans which he hath devised to ensnare the hearts of men.
And thus we see the great call of diligence of men to labor in the vineyards of the L-rd; and thus we see the great reason of sorrow, and also of rejoicing—sorrow because of death and destruction among men, and joy because of the light of Christ unto life.
The difference, whatever it may be makes necessary the need for civil law and law enforcement. And it is often, as the scriptures reveal, “by the wicked that the wicked are punished,” and corruption works on both sides of the coin…for we all tread in paths of idolatry, apart from the L-RD, Whose Way is perfect. And men use whatever advantage they may for personal gain and enrichment, especially when cut off from the L-RD.
Legitimate affluence also becomes a burden and of necessity to protect. And the further one who loves G-d and would to protect those worthy in any nation need stray from the truth in the same, the harder life become and the means of preserving freedom all the meaner.
“The affluence of Abram’s family becomes a threat to its tranquility….for a righteous person, great wealth can sometimes be a burden…”~Etz Hayim Commentary
Alma 22: 15-16 And it came to pass that after Aaron had expounded these things unto him, the king said: What shall I do that I may have this eternal life of which thou hast spoken? Yea, what shall I do that I may be born of G-d, having this wicked spirit rooted out of my breast, and receive his Spirit, that I may be filled with joy, that I may not be cast off at the last day? Behold, said he, I will give up all that I possess, yea, I will forsake my kingdom, that I may receive this great joy.
But Aaron said unto him: If thou desirest this thing, if thou wilt bow down before G-d, yea, if thou wilt repent of all thy sins, and will bow down before G-d, and call on his name in faith, believing that ye shall receive, then shalt thou receive the hope which thou desirest.
Here we find an apostle or disciple of Christ, compromising the truth to appease a rich man’s favour? For…
Pro 10:15 The rich man’s wealth is his strong city: the destruction of the poor is their poverty.
Pro 28:11 The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.
Mat 19:21-24 Y’shua said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
Then said Y’shua unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of G-d.
“Lot chose to be closer to Sodom and further from G-d.” ~Etz Hayim Commentary
Why? To protect Abram?
Corruption working together; ”In the face of the common threat, the rebellious cities formed a five city confederacy.” ~Etz Hayim Commentary
Isa 5:20-24 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:
Which justify the wicked for reward, and take away the righteousness of the righteous from him!
Therefore as the fire devoureth the stubble, and the flame consumeth the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: because they have cast away the law of the L-RD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.
Exd 23:7 Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.
Deu 25:1 If there be a controversy between men, and they come unto judgment, that the judges may judge them; then they shall justify the righteous, and condemn the wicked.
High Five; Generally worthy of Five Stars? I think not…
At any rate, it is what it is, and there is no escaping when caught in your sins except you cling to Him who came to save His people from their sins…
And the Kingdom that remains divided until the time when G-d joins two sticks into One, making of the multitude a nation worthy for His Marvelous work and wonder by their example, leadership, insight and the Mercy Seat in their midst is the one into which we may come when we leave behind Egypt, Babylon, Hollywood, what have you and come unto the L-RD to establish His Zion, His Kingdom to do His Will and Justice, with Equity and Mercy, Righteousness and Steadfast Loving Kindness.
The hardest, most complicated obstacle course Jews face today is idolatry, irony and the Oneness of G-d in us all, or in all of Creation.
Everyone who belongs to G-d makes use of His attributes in different ways. G-d is multifaceted and complex, possessing many different forms of being and expression. Yet He is unique and is One.
True religion, when practiced, brings out His best affectations as gifts and talents that ought to be expressed and made useful and profitable unto the Body singular. Yet, being a foot, I cannot be a hand. Though the same Body we are a part of, we work differently and together, being of one mind and spirit.
Neither may we escape the body without being cut off, ostracized, purged, etc. And the affect and result is traumatizing to the whole body. Yet, being broken or cast off may be the only way we may prepare to be made whole and well. It may be the only way in which He may find use for us, or those of us who would not be of use of our own free will and agreement.
Envy and pride are terrible sins and any man or woman who has had to survive whilst being cut-off from the body or as part of the body must suffer these affectations as afflictions that maintain a preserving sense of self and dignity hard won. Humbling oneself so as to return to G-d is not always easy and may be unwise in a reality that is quick to take advantage of humility perceiving the same as weakness in a beast ready and willing to devour any such member.
Abandoning, though perhaps not completely, all pretense and superfluity of self for the sake of the unification of our real selves in G-d, while obviously frightening and costly is essential to our survival in days to come.
One does not lose his or her essence or uniqueness; on the contrary, one nullifies the threat to the same for the sake of sharing the same.
In bridling something born in rebellion and delusion, one loses nothing and gains much and shares all the more. All one may lose ultimately is one’s selfishness, which were already a burden like unto coveted wealth.
In truth, most of us ever guarded the same jealously as G-d might or does for the sake of protecting the greater of worth, even the Body and our right to belong to It.
Worldly humility is entirely bogus and as vomit returned to make of a man a dog.
G-d is an unnatural Force, Spirit and Source of eternal life in a world perishing that must rise above baser inclinations to be worthy of Itself, or useful to Him, and at the very least grateful for Him.
The world and society of fame and fortune has become one of vain and unfortunate obscurity and desperation. Its lacking in intelligent introspection and a once valued propensity to enrich and inspire us to be Us. Its outward performance is marred by its inward motivation, want of integrity, character and inspiration which it ever only borrowed from its audience, Us.
Not surprising when it comes and is seen to be no more than rampant idolatry. There is no complimentary music or harmony; no fluid movement of Oneness that isn’t a stupid trained, supposedly spontaneous trance dance.
It has become stupid, rough and tumble, me-first-ness.
And the result is of course, calamity and grosser error followed by grossest excused by corruption, monopolized by greed, consumed by the vile, regurgitated to be consumed again, making viler still that which, in its tragic delusion cannot turn away from this course of self-destruction because there is no other way available or none a will thus enslaved may make use of, but must for the pit being dug for such as will not turn is being dug for them.
I mean not to frighten but to console. What we all need is someone we may trust. It may be our own fault that we don’t have that but it is our responsibility to ourselves and G-d to provide for this Way so that we all may have and enjoy the same rights and differences.
What happens to moral law inward or not when corrupted by circumstances or influences ‘illicit’ or beyond our control?
I like to be chivalrous and what I consider ‘proper’, but in stressful situations, under influences corrupting, I can loose my better judgment and even act against it…Who’s to judge then?
Our capacity to judge at all kind of demands it. For me, G-d is judge, and I look first to Him for guidance in my life, and I count on my fellows more than I ought maybe to make right judgment in matters small and great.
I prefer ” judge not… lest ye be judged”, but the world does not work that way and often we are judged unfairly for trying to be part of the world or not.We are judgmental beings, we judge things constantly…It’s as inborn as our morals hopefully.
Liberty is a Gift. Morality and ethics are the very lifeblood of maintaining Freedom. Covetousness and the abuse of wealth to the poor man’s hurt, coupled with the demand for the poor to follow moral uprightness is the bull dung that snares and subjugates one class/race or creed of people to another. That is when might makes right, and the right may feel justified in taking life to defend freedom won and maintained. It’s an old pig and dog game.
I think what Jews possess is an innate goodness or fairness and fidelity of spirit that we may attribute to our parents and theirs.
As a Jew, I feel that these attributes are passed down from generation to generation in our lifeblood and members.
Whereas in others; “goodness” and “morality” has been faked for as many generations unto plague. But whether Jew or Gentile, it is G-d that imbues a soul with graciousness and nobility.
The most important realization I have made as a ‘human being’ is my brokenness and my innate unworthiness, which humbles and makes me grateful for the smallest gifts of being.
So it is kind of as if the more abased I am, the more belittled or scorned by the proud and the strong, the more noble I feel and the more morally upright I know myself to be rather in the ghetto than in the palaces of the rich and famous…The “mean streets” may be far more kind and just than those of the gated community or what have you after all.
Men of this world and age will never discover much less hearken unto true wisdom nor see true justice done, but the L-RD has an unsearchable Way of seeing it done anyway, against all those who oppose righteousness and cling to worldliness…loving the wages of iniquity much to their own hurt and frustration…
I don’t mean to force anyone out of their comfort zone, or endanger agreements made in the dark for the sake of preserving a right, but I do know of a better Way and mean to establish nothing less than that.
Zec 4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the L-RD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the L-RD of hosts.
Don’t worries, worrying cannot add a day to your life, nor turn a hair from white to black…and they are all numbered, you get them all back in Heaven and none will be grey.
Devil needs eyes everywhere, and so whether on the bus or on the computer, watch what you say and hear and whom you travel with.
Corruption starts local and grows in proportion worldwide. Every thought and inclination of your heart births something in the world.
We in the USA may have it far better than most and ought to still be grateful for everyday, but not without being angry for injustice and corruption. (Amalek.)
It’s being rooted out locally as well as globally now, but I think it should have been done in reverse, and locally should have been the priority.
It wasn’t and thus this situation grew to the absurd and the absurd minded took over to clean up the absurdities they brought to life.
Greater ones remain because they are necessary to control the vast majority of them nowadays.
Wonder not nor be envious of the wicked who remain free and at large, and prosperous. Their lives are not enjoyable; at least not in the manner in which the living may enjoy life. They may not grow beyond their will’s imposed boundaries, and may not act without your willingness to play along, or break the Law. Do not wonder why we enjoy less freedom now than we did before.
Advancement in sciences and medicine do not equal more freedom and better living circumstances, more liberal government or plenty and abundance for all. Advancement so-called is equal only to Israel’s backsliding, and by no means progression. It means we are failing but dealing with it. No more, no less. No man has reason to be proud in this world.
The fact that we may still care for the aged among us is no miracle but the manipulation of young people’s freedom and opportunity often misled unto destruction. Old people can be the dickens to deal with! And are often so impish they are caustic toward anyone who may try to help them. Age doesn’t necessarily mean venerable or honourable…Some real rats live their entire lives at the level of rats, never changing, so it is not always right to claim “well, they are just old and set in their ways…”
Remember the wicked are born that way and stay that way all their lives long. They don’t give a damn about others and will do just about anything to survive and gain for them selves.
Be careful out there.
“Do not find fault before you investigate; examine first, then criticize.
If you pursue, you will not overtake, and by fleeing you will not escape.
There are those who work and struggled and hurry, but are so much more in want.” ~Sirach 11:7,10b,11
As I said, the old and young alike need the same thing, someone they may trust. It may be one’s own fault that one doesn’t have that but it is still the responsibility of any who may to provide this trust so that all may claim the rights and privileges we may enjoy at any age and not have to seem or be worse imps than our children and grandchildren may have the right to be.
I mean, an aged soul ought to be clothed with dignity and sagaciousness, not desperation, futility and pugnacious-ness.
Our children and grandchildren ought to look up to us and venerate us instead of ridicule, distrust and fear us.
The responsibility is on both ends and our meeting point is G-d and Torah.
If we are used to lying, dishonesty, surviving ‘the game,’ no matter whose fault it may be, until all may escape this trap by choice we may not do so nor be worthy of better and best yet.
Most people today work for people whom they should not for or who are undeserving of their labours, to do a job that should not exist or should not be done for a reward that ought not be granted to spend upon a privilege or pastime equally illegitimate and wanting of reasonable justification.
The devil should be constrained to the speed of a horse drawn cart at the very swiftest pace he may travel, never mind flight and the speed of light, sound and imagination. It only ever birthed an twilight zone of absurdity, unreasonably maintained by insanity and vanity.
Nevertheless, these are the days we live in and the mirages we are zealous for. Let us be grateful there are hard masters well aware of the reasons behind or for the madness, the methodology of criminology, and the tragedy of possessing the know how of surviving where the sidewalk ends, looking back to certain lords and ladies who have for an eternity and may it be an eternity hereafter made the bitter strife worth it…and are the reason Jacob may blossom as a rose in the wilderness and Israel’s light never be quenched nor fount run dry…
