How many is a Brazillian?
Well, I told you George was kind of a bull artist, trying to do the impossible.
The big “incentive plan” was a widely acclaimed failure, and I seem to be the only one left who likes the guy, but then I tend to like everybody.
$300 a month for maybe two whole months added to your regular take home! For joy! That is of course unless you one of the poor saps like myself, who don’t make enough money to be eligible for it.
Then someone woke him from a whiskey stupor or something and he realized it were not going to suffice to keep the wild dogs out of his neighborhood, and he offers some absurd 770billion for food for the poor. But, where’s it coming from and who’s it going to? No one knows, it’s just a story in the news. Disasters strike all over creation and George pulls out his checkbook and writes another billion dollar check that bounces its way to wherever it may, problem solved! Oh, sorry, hungry Americans, slaving like fools, the money is going to Iraq, Sure.
I don’t mean to instill doubt in my reader, just the opposite. The L-RD will provide when we stop seeking for that which we have no need of.
Pro 30:8 Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:
Lest I be full, and deny [thee], and say, Who [is] the L-RD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God [in vain].
George let the L-RD dispense with the victuals. You just drive the bus.
Isa 55:1-13 ¶ Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without any price.
Wherefore do ye spend money for [that which is] not bread? and your labour for [that which] satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye [that which is] good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.
Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, [even] the sure mercies of David.
Behold, I have given him [for] a witness to the people, a leader, and commander to the people.
Behold, thou shalt call a nation [that] thou knowest not, and nations [that] knew not thee shall run unto thee because of the L-RD thy God, and for the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.
Seek ye the L-RD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:
Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the L-RD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.
For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the L-RD.
For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it.
For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap [their] hands.
Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree, and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to the L-RD for a name, for an everlasting sign [that] shall not be cut off.
Psa 63:1-11 ¶ O God, thou [art] my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is;
To see thy power and thy glory, so [as] I have seen thee in the sanctuary.
Because, thy lovingkindness [is] better than life, my lips shall praise thee.
Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name.
My soul shall be satisfied as [with] marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise [thee] with joyful lips:
When I remember thee upon my bed, [and] meditate on thee in the [night] watches.
Because thou hast been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice!
My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.
But those [that] seek my soul, to destroy [it], shall go into the lower parts of the earth.
They shall fall by the sword: they shall be a portion for foxes.
But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: but the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.
