I am currently re-reading over my AOL BLOG and found myself with a need of further explanation for an revelation started here:
I am worried someone might think I am calling Joseph Smith, Satan, and not just a candidate for the Office of "prince of this world," for in instances such as that in the above entry, Satan doth have dominion in Joseph’s heart, and is thus doing his will through Joseph. As the Book of Mormon correctly teaches, no sin may dwell with God.
1Nephi 10:21 Wherefore, if ye have sought to do wickedly in the days of your probation, then ye are found unclean before the judgment-seat of God; and no unclean thing can dwell with God; wherefore, ye must be cast off forever.
Anytime we lie and boast, be it knowingly, or unbeknownst to us, we sin and God dwelleth not with us nor within us. Pride is a sin. Envy is a sin. Lying is a sin. Whether we know we are lying or not, we are sinning.
Joseph was striving and he deserves credit for the work he accomplished as does anyone, but that is one of the major problems with the LDS Doctrine. It promotes division, secrecy, deception and inequality within the Body of the Church. God was never a man, exaltation is not ours to win. God’s Gift(s) may be bestowed upon anyone God so chooses, whether they be unworthy or worthy in man’s estimation. Just as His Gift(s) may be taken away from the worthy or men who believe themselves to be worthy of their own will and accomplishments.
This Doctrine of theirs, makes the members of the Church unequal.
Inhabitants of the Kingdom may be different and in many cases seem unequal, but that is not the point or work of or for the inhabitants of the Kingdom…"He who would be greatest must be the very last and servant of all…"
Exaltation through Christ is had by always seeking his increase, especially at our personal cost and when necessary, loss or want and lack. For, to die ’tis gain, in Christ. Suffering is how to be exalted and equal through Christ and the agreement to always seek the welfare of brother and neighbor first. To always give to God and Christ first. It’s like giving your last two cents to the Kingdom and going without merrily, knowing that it is now an impossibility that ye should ever lack or want. Another example is the woman who shared her and her son’s last meal with Elijah. As long as she agreed to God’s Will and did exactly as the LORD asked, no matter how absurd the demand, she had exactly what she needed to do so.
The only way to establish Christ’s Kingdom is to always and forever give to Christ first at your expense and as I said, if necessary lack and want for the moment. Seeking your neighbor’s benefit outside of Christ is to do him harm and ultimately hurts your neighbor.
Instead of looking at the picture as to have and have not, we ought always to be under the Law of deserved and undeserved, if we wish to promote a realm of fair trade and heritage builders. But I fear such blessed possibilities and days are forever lost to the greed and false charity of mankind.
But I stray…
What Mormons often consider to be "error" in the Scriptures, is Wisdom in God and was set in the Scriptures for His Purposes. God placed a seeming contradiction in their path to test their knowledge and allegiance, which is also why they do not understand their own Scriptures, they have never sought to do God’s Will, but only their own or the devil’s using the Scriptures as justification. They have made God a man, in body and soul, heart and understanding. And made man into their God with man’s body, understanding and heart. Thus they may share no part in His Rest or Spirit. Yet they have Scriptures which they were sure they understood according to man’s wisdom and strength and intellect.
Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD. For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Joseph possesses a gift that, truth be told, Jesus may be envious of, but in doing what he did, he scorns and devalues his own gift so that it no longer possesses the same luster and appeal, and as such, is no longer to be desired by any, least of all, the Christ.
Joseph has started his own religion, tearing God apart and giving a piece to any and all comers and takers for and of worldly rewards, which is actually a form of blasphemy of the Holy Ghost.
The Good Shepherd lays down his life for His Sheep. All abandon him and he is crucified with a passionate hatred for God, Light and Life.
The bad shepherd will lay down his life for himself and his brethren at the cost of His Lambs Liberty.
What God would desire for Joseph as for each of us, is to restore us and set us at Liberty in Him. This is what makes all things endurable and at best exalting and perfect.
Which means, in the world, though things are always going to seem unequal, and we are always going to have differences because of separate and unique gifts and abilities. Within any and all contexts, the more excellent Way is available to all.
1Cr 12:31; 13:1-13 But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more excellent way. Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become [as] sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have [the gift of] prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed [the poor], and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. Charity suffereth long, [and] is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things. Charity never faileth: but whether [there be] prophecies, they shall fail; whether [there be] tongues, they shall cease; whether [there be] knowledge, it shall vanish away. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these [is] charity.
The LDS Church possesseth a mock charity that is more of a cunning resolve to ensure its own riches and destiny.
And my favorite man of God, Moses testifieth…
Num 11:29 And Moses said unto him, Enviest thou for my sake? would God that all the LORD’S people were prophets, [and] that the LORD would put his spirit upon them!
And lastly and once again:
Jhn 16:9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;
Without a firm and unwavering belief and knowledge that Jesus Christ is the ONLY Way, Truth and Life, one cannot even begin to wonder what their purpose is to be in Life, nor how to proceed in even the most elementary of instances of daily decision making.
2Ti 2:19 Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
